Japanese ceramics, presented at Vertige Gallery in Paris in an exhibition curated by Utsuwa Shoken. A selection of delicate, artisanal ceramic objects, handmade by renowned Japanese ceramists. In a typical Japanese style, they use dark clay and pair it with light glazes, which they sometimes engrave to create a delicate contrast. Baked in traditional wood-fired kilns, each ceramic has a unique glaze. Other objects, such as Yaku Murakami’s pot, are made of dark clay only, and surprise us by their lightness and soft textures.
